Waldorf Astoria Chicago Debuts Group Wellness Offerings
Waldorf Astoria Chicago Spa recently introduced wellness offerings centered around spa, mindfulness, and movement that have been created exclusively for in-house groups. Whether attending weddings, conferences or other events held in the hotel, groups are encouraged to enhance their functions with a series of tailored workshops and wellness experiences designed to be done together, alongside individual spa treatments that can be added at their leisure. These new offerings allow group guests to collectively embrace harmony for mind, body, and soul. “From the Hilton Trends Report, we know the number one reason people want to travel in 2024 is to rest and recharge and we understand that prioritizing holistic wellness is crucial to living a happy and healthy life,” says Kelly Gasspari-Fleming, director of spa and wellness at Waldorf Astoria Chicago Spa. “It fosters individual wellbeing and supports our relationships with others. While our hotel has remained a leader in offering bespoke wellness experiences for both individual travelers and locals alike in the heart of Chicago, we wanted to bring tailored experiences to our group guests helping them to achieve wellbeing no matter the occasion. Perfect for meeting planners looking to infuse moments of wellness into a multi-day meeting or for guests who are looking to achieve balance in between a weekend of wedding festivities, the spa has the perfect add-ons to make any group visit a memorable one.”
Upon arrival to Waldorf Astoria Chicago, groups may book the Spa Welcome Amenity, which is designed to help guests unwind after a long day from the comfort of their guest room. Centered around the Sense Bath Ritual, this experience comprises multi-sensory elements including a botanical bath soak, organic tea beverage, and a wood wick candle with guided mediation and sound bath.
New Group Wellness Workshops are ideal for corporate events, wedding parties, and other group travelers. These classes are diverse and connect the art of being present and finding inner harmony. An example is the Tarot Card Reading, where groups are able to unlock profound and personalized insights in the company of others. Evolving from the hotel’s New Moon Ritual series is the Inner Peace Journaling Ritual where attendees are guided to nurture serenity through journaling and the Breath Work & Guided Meditation where guests intuitively select a crystal to assist in the process of astral projection and soul retrieval. Groups may also finish with the Massage & Mocktails workshop, where talented hotel mixologists craft refreshing mocktails while expert massage therapists aid in melting away the stresses and ultimately leaving guests feeling rejuvenated and energized.
For more active wellness experiences, Group Wellness Classes offered include Guided Meditation & Sound Bath Ritual along with a range of strength and cardio classes like Pilates or a Guided Jog Tour, and more.
For relaxing and restorative experiences, group guests can book an assortment of specialized treatments at the spa, such as the Waldorf Signature Massage or the Himalayan Salt Stone Massage. The spa also offers facials, such as the Diamond Glow Facial, a revolutionary treatment that deeply cleanses and restores the skin to its natural brilliance. Corporate group guests may also opt for the Calming Slumber Jet Lag Recovery Treatment, which has been designed to alleviate inflammation and promote deep relaxation. Exclusively for wedding party guests are Bespoke In-Suite Treatments that can be arranged through a dedicated Spa Attaché, who can facilitate a range of luxurious and therapeutic treatments coupled with a chilled glass of champagne.
In between events, guests can also explore the sanctuary of Waldorf Astoria Spa & Health Club complete with an indoor lap pool, the latest cardiovascular and weight training equipment, and Peloton bikes.
